The Death of our beloved friends is something we never like to think about. As with friends and family we just try not to dwell on the reality that happens to us all. I don’t want to bring anybody down but I think this is an issue we should all think about. As your Dog ages it is important to give its Death some consideration. In a lot of cases our beautiful Dogs last moments will be at the Vets with us by their side. This is just the reality for many Dogs. Unlike for people, we thankfully have […]
Chicken Dog Treats
As I wind my way around the “tinternet” looking at all things Dog related I am amazed just how many different recipes there are for homemade Dog Treats. There are recipes for Organic Dog Treats, Diabetic Dog Treats and even Holistic Hypoallergenic Organic Dog Treats (I’m not kidding)! I’m not going to just post a recipe for how to make a homemade Dog Treat. You can do a Google search and you will have enough recipes to keep you busy in the Kitchen for a lifetime and your Dog very fat indeed. Any regulars to the site know I […]
Google Worries
Some know this and some don’t. When writing posts you often choose certain words to attract people to your posts via search engines. Sometimes I do it and sometimes I don’t. A post that I wrote entitled Nine Ways you can kill a Dog was a post that I DIDN’T think about the words I was using. The post was about ways we can shorten the life of, or harm our Dogs, by not doing certain things, or by overfeeding etc. Now, I have been getting quite a bit of search engine traffic to this post. But for all […]
Nylabone For Dogs. Is a Nylabone Bone Safe?
Nylabone Bones are a regular feature in many Dog owners homes. Looking after Dogs is often a busy and hectic life and often we like to have some quiet time. Giving the Dogs something to chew on is a great way to have peace for a while. I am a firm believer in Raw Meaty Bones for the Dogs. They get a good few bones every week and there are always a few hanging around outside for them to chew on. Raw Meaty Bones keep them quiet for hours and is also a great form of teeth cleaning for […]
Dangerous Words For Dogs
Or…………….. How To Talk In Code And Still Be Understood The Dogs are getting clever. No, really! Whenever we are getting ready to take the Bone Munchers for a walk we do the usual daft Doggie talk to the Girls: “Do you want to go for a walk? Do you? Do you? Where do you want to go? Eh? Eh?” blah, blah, blah. You know what I mean. Well, in order to keep things a bit calmer, and not have them jumping up and down like the lunatics they are, and to safely put on a coat without them […]
A Neural Dichotomy In Dog Stimuli Over A Seven Day Period!
Are you ready for this? Confused? I am. I just found this written down on one of the many scraps of paper I have all over the place. I have ABSOLUTELY no idea what on earth I was on about!!! If anyone wants to hazard a guess, feel free to write the post for me in the comments section. Adios Amigos. May the Doggie Force be with you al.
What? You Don’t Own A Dog Seat Belt Harness?
Here in Spain it is the law that all Dogs must have a Dog Car Harness, a Dog Seat Belt or be caged in the boot (trunk?) when travelling in vehicles. I was reminded of the importance of this the other day when we were on an infrequent outing. A car passed us with two fairly large Dogs jumping all over the place in the back of the car, and the front passenger was shouting like mad at them to calm down! The dangers of this are all too apparent but it is one of those small, inexpensive things […]
