Having woken up on some kind of mission to write this morning at about six thirty I decided I would dedicate my time to doing something I had been thinking of for some time.
I love this Dog Blog, the interaction with the commenter’s (hello) and the fact that I can cover a wide range of Dog related topics without being tied to one particular aspect of Looking after Dogs. I have, however, lately had the urge to cover certain topics in more detail.
I bring you Biting Puppies, a blog dedicated to many aspects of teaching young Puppies not to bite. I am sure many of you reading have gone through the pain of a biting Puppy, I know I have. The blog is far from pretty, it is purely functional, there for information and not for looks. It is a free blogger blog and so far has cost me nothing apart from a tiring days work.
It won’t be like this Dog blog, that will go on indefinitely. I will write the course and then that will be it. I have enjoyed it so far and will finish it all in a week or two. I may embark on similar projects soon as it has been fun so far covering a topic in exhaustive detail. Something I am sure many of you would get bored with if I wrote like that here!
Anyway, just to let you know it is there, be warned though, most posts are between 1500 and 2000 words long so it takes a while to read.
Back to my main motive for this post.
As anyone with a blog knows, Links from other sites are what helps you get recognised in search engines. With no traffic then what you write never gets read. My hope is that some Dog blog owners will include a link with the words Biting Puppies on a post on their site.
The incentive?
Google has just updated its Page Ranks and I now have a PageRank of 3 which I am quite happy about for six months of blogging. Anyone who puts a link on their Dog BlogĀ back to Biting Puppies (http://bitingpuppies.blogspot.com) can ask me to do the same. Just leave a comment stating the URL of the page where you have mentioned my new site and tell me what words you would like me to use to link to any post of your choosing on your own site. Keyword links are invaluable for getting a page known for those words and is a real boost in the eyes of search engines.
I will write a post in a week thanking anyone that does this, and include links to their posts. But in reality just by leaving it in the comments section you already have a Do-Follow link. If no one wants to then no problem. With my new PageRank 3 Dog Blog I have already given myself a boost just by writing this post and linking to Biting Puppies.
Hey, you can’t blame a Dog lover for a bit of self promotion can you?
May the Doggie Force be with you all,
